Black and Brown Belt students from Dynamic Karate in Grimsby and from Grantham, Bottesford and Bingham Shotokan Karate Clubs travelled to Woodhall Spa today for a special training session organised by the Clubs' Sensei's, Justin Beattie and Geoff Dixon.
The emphasis was on black belt kihon, kata and kumite together with different kumite drills and kata bunkai.
Many thanks to Justin and Geoff for giving us the wealth of their knowledge and experience and making the day enjoyable (and hard work)!
Training with Sensei Scott Langley of the JKS
December 2012
Chief Instructor, Geoff and his wife, Elizabeth, travelled to York at the weekend for Geoff to teach at the University's JKA Shotokan Karate Club. Students varied in grade and style and were shown a variation on the standard Sanbon kumite drill together with some bunkai for Heian Nidan. Hopefully, not too many students left with sore arms!
